Bargi Dam

About 40 kms away from Jabalpur city, water sports site has been developed by Madhya Pradesh Tourism Department on Bargi Dam. Here one can enjoy cruise ride, motor boat ride and speed boat ride along with canteen facility & hotel for accommodation, managed by Madhya Pradesh Tourism Department. Bargi Dam is built on Narmada river.

Dhuandhar Fall

It is a waterfall in adjoining part of Bhedaghat. Here one can observe the force of water flow and considered photogenic spot. Here river passes through narrow passage and produces fog and sound. Dhuandhar can also be viewed from overview thorough rope-way drive. One can also do shopping of marble show-pieces in Dhaundhar local market.

Bhedaghat

Most popular boating site of Jabalpur city is Bhedaghat. It is 25 km away from main city and the most favorite picnic spot for tourists visiting Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. Here one can enjoy boating in Bhedaghat on holy Narmada river in between gleaming marble rocks. Many bollywood movies has been shooted here like Ashoka, Jis Desh Me Ganga Behti Hai etc. Bhedaghat is a must see tourist spot under Jabalpur city tour.Boating in marble rocks valley is a unique experience for every visitors.

Madan Mahal Fort & Balance rock

This fort is a pride of Jabalpur city. Madan Mahal fort was built on 11th century by 38th Gond (Tribe) ruler, Madansahi later on it was repaired by Gond ruler Sangramshah. It is built on top of the hill and visible from most of the city part. While going towards Madan Mahal fort, one can also see another piece of attraction “Balance rock” in bonus. Balance rock is a large piece of natural rock positioned over another rock occupying very less area. Madhya Pradesh Tourism Department is planning for light & sound show program in Madan Mahal fort like going on in Khajuraho & Orchha.

Kachnar City Shiva Temple

Kachnar City is considered best developed locality of Jabalpur city. Here presence of 76 ft. high statue of lord Shiva under open sky is very popular among people. It is counted among popular places to visit in Jabalpur city. Statue was completed in year 2006 and made available to general public and devotees. Surroundings of statue was developed and maintained beautifully. While doing Jabalpur sightseeing, tourists prefer to visit this beautiful place.

Dumna Nature Reserve

: Close to Jabalpur Dumna Airport, eco-tourism site called Dumna Nature Reserve has been opened for general public. It is spread over an area of 1058 hectare of land on Jabalpur Airport road about 10 kms from city center. One can do nature walk on this nature reserve and can see wild animals like spotted dears, Chitals, wild boar, porcupine, jackals, monkey, many species of birds etc. In addition to it, boating can also be enjoyed on Khandari Dam. Bathing and swimming in Khandari dam is strictly not allowed as crocodiles are present in the water. It is also a source of water for Jabalpur city. Children park and restaurant is also developed in this nature reserve. Many new attractions are under construction. One can see hanging bridge, tent platform, rest house, fishing platform on Dumna Nature Reserve. Entrance charge for Dumna Nature Reserve is nominal, Rs.10/- per person. Its timing is from 8:30 hrs to 17:00 hrs, 7 days in a week.
